Setting Personal Preferences in Pika

From PikaDocs

The first time you enter Pika, click “Preferences” to set your preferences in Pika. In the Account Preferences screen, set your Default Office by clicking on the down arrow to access the pull-down menu and click on your assigned office (This is used to automatically enter your office in new intakes that you complete. As a result, if you are working in several offices, use the one where you would do the most new intakes.) If your organization does not have multiple offices, you may skip this step.

Next, click on the down arrow next to the Default Intake Type box to set the usual method that a new client would use to contact you for a new case (i.e. Walk-in, Circuit-riding, Telephone, etc.). This can be changed on individual intakes if clients contact you in a variety of settings.

The Theme is the color scheme for Pika. You can try the different options to see which one you prefer. Click on the down arrow next to the box to access the pull-down menu to see your choices.

Case List Length allows you to set the number of cases that will appear on one screen when you want to view a list of your cases. It is recommended that you start with a number between 20 and 50, although you may set the number due to personal preference. As you gain experience in working with case lists, you can change your preferred list length at any time.

The last option available on this screen asks whether you would like case information to “pop up” in a new browser window, or whether the intake should open in the same browser window. You may change this preference at any time.

Once you have made your choices, click on the “Save” button to preserve your preferences. You will receive an on-screen notification that the User settings have been saved.

Click on “Home” on the Quick Links border at the bottom of the page. This will return you to the Pika Welcome Screen. You are now ready to begin working with Pika.
